The Permission Cat, or "Cat" by some users, appeared over the summer of 2011.

The cat was intended to prevent people who are not friends with a person from remixing their comics. Although unknown who found it first, no one was really happy about it. Eventually, people started remixing comics with the cat and gave it outfits, killed it, hurt it, or other ridiculous things. It would also appear in non-remixes (users put it in) and it told someone not to do something. Many people still complained about the cat, in which 0rb responded to with a rant. You can still see it every now and then, under a certain circumstance.
Controversy[]
Many people criticized the cat because it constantly appeared during the duration it was used, and still does every now and then, such as trying to edit a strip you just deleted while it was loading.
